Tiene más de 25 años de experiencia en desarrollo internacional y ha trabajado ampliamente en África y Asia para promover la justicia social y hacer frente a las desigualdades, en particular las que enfrentan las niñas y las mujeres. Su tesis doctoral, basada en una investigación en Gana, se enfocó en la alfabetización y el empoderamiento de las mujeres.

Rachel is responsible for catalyzing the Girls Not Brides Partnership strategy and ensuring that the Secretariat is supportive and responsive to the broader movement for change.

Rachel is responsible for inspiring and developing a high-performing team to ensure that Girls Not Brides can fulfill its mission, live its values and deliver against its goals and targets.

Rachel has over 25 years of international development experience and has worked extensively in Africa and Asia to promote social justice and tackle inequalities, in particular those facing girls and women. Her doctoral thesis, based on research in Ghana, focused on literacy and women’s empowerment.
