Manjula Singh

Director of Programmes, India, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF)

Manjula is a respected development sector leader in India. She has nearly 20 years of policy and technical experience, in leadership roles with Indian and international organizations and donor partners.

She is Director of Programmes at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), where she leads CIFF’s entire Child Health & Development and Adolescence portfolios. CIFF is the world’s largest independent philanthropy dedicated to children, and Manjula’s portfolio is the single largest. Her work spans the breadth of health, nutrition, education, livelihoods, and empowerment. She is passionate about the potential of girls all over the world, and is committed to helping them to be independent and realize their full potential.

Prior to joining CIFF, Manjula worked with the UK’s Department of International Development (DFID) in India as Senior Nutrition and Health Adviser, where she led the delivery of large-scale programs on Health, Nutrition, and WASH in India and was responsible for overseeing a budget over $200 million.

She has been involved in many of the recent policy debates in India about nutrition, and also has work experience in other South Asian countries and in Tanzania.

Prior to DFID, Manjula worked with FHI 360 and Care India on issues such as adolescent reproductive health, HIV and AIDS and relief and emergency rehabilitation of two major catastrophes in India—the Odisha super cyclone and Gujarat earthquake.

Born and raised in India, Manjula is a post-graduate in social work and public health. She is a member of various government advisory committees, including NITI Aayog’s Vision 2022. She is based in New Delhi, India.
