Shruti Karki

Program Advisor - Nepal

Shruti leads our programs in Nepal, and informs our understanding of country-specific trends, changing contexts and challenges in relation to ending child marriage and grantmaking. She supports our partners with their programs from design to evaluation, and builds relationships with key stakeholders for effective collaboration.

Shruti holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and Sociology. Currently based in her home city of Kathmandu, she has worked throughout Nepal and in some of the countries in Asia in various capacities, providing management and technical support to civil society organizations, governments, and non-government organizations.

Shruti has more than fifteen years of experience in program design and management, community development, civil society and stakeholder engagement, grant management, and monitoring and evaluation. Her previous work affiliations include humanitarian support in emergency and disaster, drugs, HIV/AIDS, capacity development, and grantmaking for women-led NGOs. She has also worked as Gender Focal Person for the International Committee of The Red Cross, Nepal Delegation. She is strongly committed to the human rights of the girls and women and their leadership.

Shruti loves to travel to new places and enjoys listening to human stories. She enjoys listening to music and love hiking to the mountains.
