Diente de León
Founded in 2020, Diente de León is an Indigenous women-led organization working in Belen de Umbria in Colombia. The organization uses artistic and psychosocial workshops to prevent different types of social issues, particularly those involving the violation of the rights of children, adolescents, and families.

This partnership with Girls First Fund is of utmost importance to Diente de León, as it supports us to reach a larger population of women and girls throughout Colombia, especially the most remote areas of the country and our region.
Thanks to the Changemakers grant, we are able to grow as an organization, expand our reach, and achieve our goals more quickly. It provides us with a foundation for implementing our work aimed at preventing gender-based violence. We are also able to strengthen our human resources to deliver art and learning initiatives.
We believe that it is important for women and girls to play a critical and active role that fosters collective transformation, so that they themselves can become advocates for their own processes.
