ASSOCIAÇÃO PAZEAR
Founded in 2020, Associação Pazear is a women-led organization that provides access to developmental opportunities, information, and fun experiences to marginalized young people of mostly Afro-Brazilian backgrounds. Pazear uses soccer, a national passion in Brazil, as an instrument for education, leadership, and teamwork for youth from the peripheral territory of Pernambuco.

We feel a great sense of recognition from our selection for the Changemakers program. This partnership means that we are not working in isolation; by being part of a network, we can strengthen our knowledge and experience to better contribute to efforts to end child marriage and early unions. It also reinforces the importance of continuing to value and invest in this work.
We will use our Changemakers grant to provide adolescents with access to critical SRHR education and mental health services. The grant will also support our institutional strengthening efforts, with funds used to build staff capacity, support operations, and increase investments in our youth programs, including the As Jogadeiras program for girls.
