CHANGEMAKERS

In 2024, we unveil Changemakers, our exciting new program to resource work to end child marriage!

This new program expands our reach beyond our eight focus countries and provides resources to organizations across the global majority who are leading efforts to end child marriage in their communities.

This year, we have committed to support our Changemakers partners grants of $25,000 – $100,000, with the opportunity for renewals up to three years.

Our Changemakers

Our first cohort of Changemakers comprises 12 women-led organizations from Pakistan, Haiti, Mexico, Mali, Burkina Faso, Bangladesh and Nigeria. These partners are leading gender-transformative work using strategies including sexual and reproductive health and rights, mentorship, education, girls’ leadership, community engagement for behavioral change, and policy advocacy. The organizations were nominated by peer funders, with final selections done by our Changemakers Girls Council based on the criteria they set.

Our Girls Council

We co-designed the Changemakers program with a group of 11 girls aged between 16 and 25 years, representing our existing grantee partner organizations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America & the Caribbean. This co-design process centered the girls and supported them from ideation through criteria setting and grantee selection processes.
