Nassiratou is a young girl from Niger who is passionate about youth and girls’ empowerment. She is an alumna of the Leadership and Mentorship Camp of the CNJFL, an alumni mentor, and a member of the Cellule Nigérienne des Jeunes Filles Leaders (CNJFL).

She is the founder and CEO of the Matassa Project, an organization that provides young people with opportunities to take initiative in their communities and advocate for various issues such as education.

Nassiratou graduated from the African Leadership Academy, where she was selected as a 2022 Bezos Scholar. In that role, she served as the Head of Curriculum Development for the South African Ideas Festival, helping bring ideas to life and offering community-oriented solutions.

Nassiratou had the opportunity to serve in the first cohort of the Changemakers Council and is excited to continue this meaningful work with other girls from around the world in order to create a just world for all girls.
