Mariluz Delgado Valdez

Mariluz was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic. She is the daughter of parents who have accompanied her with love and dedication in every stage of her life. She has three siblings who have always been a great support and companion in her growth.

At the age of five, Mariluz was diagnosed with hearing loss. At first it was a challenge, both for her and my family, but over time she learned to see it not as a limitation, but as a part of what makes her unique. Thanks to the love, understanding and guidance of her loved ones, she has grown up in a home full of care, values and opportunities to develop as a person.

Since Mariluz was a child, she has been passionate about learning and sharing with others. She considers herself a sensitive, observant person with a great love for children. Her favorite subject has always been Early Childhood Education, as she loves teaching and caring for children, especially those who also face conditions like hers.

As a deaf young woman, she has big dreams for her future. One of them is to study Psychology with a focus on Early Childhood Education. She wants to prepare herself to be able to support deaf children and their families, providing them with tools to develop in an environment of love, inclusion and respect. Her goal is to ensure that no child with a disability feels alone, misunderstood or without opportunities.

Mariluz would love to work as an educator or therapist for deaf children, either in a school or in a specialized center. She would also like to open her own educational center or business focused on the care and development of children with special needs, especially those with hearing impairments. She wants to show that deaf people can also achieve their goals, break barriers and be leaders in their community.

Mariluz is a young woman with hope, faith and determination. She firmly believes that with effort, love and trust in God, every dream can come true.
