Lakshmi N. Moore
Lakshmi provides overall leadership for our programmatic work, including the implementation of our FundingPlus strategy and the management of our program teams across eight countries. Working closely with the Fund Director, she supports in ensuring alignment between grantmaking practices and operational policies and our strategic vision, values, and feminist principles.
Lakshmi is a Liberian feminist with over 15 years’ experience in the non-profit sector. She has a decade of experience in fundraising, strategic planning, policy advocacy, and developing and managing multi-sectoral partnerships with states and donors in international humanitarian and development settings.
In her role at the Girls First Fund, she brings technical expertise on gender justice and women’s rights programming and a track record of feminist organizing in Liberia.
Previously, she served as the Country Director for ActionAid Liberia, providing leadership and oversight of the ActionAid International program in the country for the promotion of women and girls’ rights, including education, sexual and reproductive health, and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence.
