Fatima Azam
Fatima is a passionate youth advocate and Board Member at the Forum for Dignity Initiatives (FDI), a GFF grantee partner in Pakistan, where she also serves as Youth Strategic Advisor.
Since joining FDI in 2019, Fatima has been at the forefront of youth-led change, beginning with organizing a landmark festival on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for young people. Over the years, she has led and contributed to national and international initiatives, including representing FDI at COP29 in Baku and conducting an official side event at CSW69 at the United Nations on gender-sensitive climate financing. Her leadership centers on the intersection of climate justice, youth empowerment, and gender equity.
In addition to her advocacy work, Fatima serves as a Revenue Enablement Trainer at Podium, where she works with sales representatives across Pakistan, Guatemala, and the United States. In this role, she combines her passion for capacity building and youth empowerment by equipping teams with the skills, confidence, and tools they need to succeed, mirroring her broader vision of enabling people, especially young leaders, to thrive and create meaningful change.
Her dedication to community work began at age 11, when she volunteered with Welthungerhilfe in flood relief efforts in South Punjab. She is also an alumna of the Young Women Leadership Conference, where she joined a cohort of 157 emerging leaders advocating for gender equality across Pakistan.
Fatima envisions a world where young people are co-creators of policy and innovation and continues to build inclusive platforms that amplify the voices of girls and youth in climate, governance, and development spaces
