Caroll Lema Cuesta

Learning Officer

Caroll works closely with the Director of Learning to strengthen our Learning Framework, advancing learning as a transformative and political practice. In her role, she supports partners through participatory processes, manages and analyzes both qualitative and quantitative data, and translates insights into accessible knowledge products that inform strategic decisions. She is committed to cultivating ethical, feminist-informed knowledge processes grounded in trust-based partnerships and reflective practice.

Caroll is an Argentine feminist economist and evaluation practitioner with experience across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Before joining Girls First Fund, she served as Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager at Planned Parenthood Global, supporting multi-country programs advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). There, she helped strengthen cross-regional evidence systems and elevate locally generated knowledge within global advocacy and funding spaces.

Throughout her career, Caroll has collaborated with governments, universities, international and community-based organizations, and feminist funders to design evidence-based strategies rooted in intersectional perspectives. Her work integrates qualitative and quantitative analysis, ensuring that evidence informs decisions while remaining attentive to context, power structures, and lived realities.

Caroll holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina) and has completed postgraduate diplomas in impact evaluation, artificial intelligence, and data science
