Jyoti Kumari

Jyoti is a teenage girl from the Dalit society who has been involved with GFF grantee partner, Mahila Mukti Sanstha since 2019, through the organization’s Prevention of Child Marriage and Early Marriage program.

With the help of the organization, she has continued her studies and is the leader of the girls’ group. She has a good understanding of the issues they face and address.

As a member of the girls’ group, Jyoti provides information and helps other women to access the benefits of government schemes and programs. As the leader of her group, she also inspires other adolescent girls with leadership in football and drama, and has built the skills to help prevent child marriage.

She works to motivate girls towards education and employment skills training, and encourage them to become self-reliant.
